Boys/Guest Bathroom Update

A quick update for you guys today because I just realized the other day that I haven’t shown you our further progress in the boys’ bathroom!  What the heck have I been doing??

Since I last talked about their bathroom, we have successfully tiled our first floor!  That change made such a huge difference in here.  And it really wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be.  We chose the classic look of a white hex tile.  It was super affordable at about $2 per square foot.  It has held up really well to two wild animals little boys in the bath, who pretend they are pirates and such splashing huge amounts of water all over the floor.  Yeah.

I also added some super cute photos of the boys in the bath.  I mean, two words.  Baby.  Butts.  It just doesn’t get much cuter than tiny little tooshies.  #stuffmomssay

I just printed out black and white photos (that I had just taken on my iPhone) at Walmart and framed them in big 12×12 frames that I also picked up from Walmart for I think $7 each.  Can you tell I live in a small town?  Not a lot of options outside of Walmart close by!

I also hung up my Please Wait to be Seated sign above the toilet.  Cheeky art.  Love it.

Oh!  And we added beadboard and more hooks behind the toilet.  One for a hand towel and one for whoever is in the shower for easy towel access.

This bathroom makes me smile.  I love when a room starts to look like you imagined it could 🙂

There are a few things we still want to do in here and then it’s done:

-Replace light

-New Mirror

-Replace faucet (we already have this, it just needs installing)

I can see the new vanity light at the end of the tunnel!

Have you ever tackled a bathroom makeover?  How did it go??  I was totally nervous to start this one, but it actually didn’t end up being that scary!  Baby steps.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
